Autism Adventures!
Autism Adventures! – July 8th from 4pm to 6pm @ Sharon Woods Metro Park Free Admission and Wheel Chair Accessible Let’s go on an adventure with the Audubon Society! They have agreed to release some of their finest tour guides for our woodsy walk. The walk will begin at the trailhead of the Edward S. Thomas Trail near the bathrooms in the parking lot at the end of the park’s main road. Please take a look at the green trail on this map. There will also be physical signs to follow after you get to the parking lot to help lead you to us. We will be walking the winding loop of the Edward S Thomas Trail (green) and then part of the Lake Trail (Blue) for approximately 1.5 miles. Our tour guides will be pointing out all of the interesting trees, plants, small animals, birds, and any other wildlife we happen to discover. Please bring the most curious members of your family and don’t forget your questions. **Also, if you’d like to stick around for some catch & release fishing on Schrock Lake, we have talked to the Park Rangers and they said they would allow us to fish without a license from the 4 to 7pm time period. Fishing poles and lure will be provided. www.ccompa.com/events
