See Kids Dream - Project SKD Healthy Food For All
Do all families have the same opportunity to get the healthy food that they need? And should they? This is the topic you and your family will have the chance to explore if you sign up for this quarter's family service learning project. Through a hands-on simulation activity, families will learn about the needs and challenges that many of our central Ohio neighbors face when it comes to accessing or affording basic healthy food. Families will also contribute and pack healthy meals to be donated, and then have the opportunity to connect with a variety of local organizations working on this cause. As with all of our Family Service Projects, See Kids Dream will send your family an activity to complete before you come on February 24th. Due to generous support from The Big Lots Foundation, attendance for this event is FREE. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. The activities are intended for elementary and middle school youth, however older or younger siblings are welcome to attend. Parent participation in the service project is required. Space is LIMITED TO THE FIRST 200 FAMILIES, so register early! Follow the tickets link above to sign up. Or go to www.SeeKidsDream.org to learn more about the work we do with kids and schools across central Ohio.
