Our Client The Kitchen in Columbus, Ohio is hiring a full-time Hospitality Manager - you can learn more about The Kitchen here: https://www.thekitchencolumbus.com/ Job Description: The Hospitality Manager is responsible for most aspects of day-to-day business operations and managing all FOH team members. The scope of the position includes recruiting, hiring & onboarding new FOH team members, training & managing all FOH team members, managing employment & payroll records, managing the tracking & reporting of money handling transactions, managing schedule enforcement, managing & attending Leadership meetings, information dissemination, impeccable internal & external client interfacing, managing all company brand standards & policies, managing front of house interior & exterior aesthetics, managing FOH interior & exterior facility maintenance schedules, and managing all applicable safety & sanitation programs. Event Captain shifts are also required for days, nights, weekends & on call in cases of emergencies. The Hospitality Manager is a steward of the brand, upholds all handbook policies and event standards. This position manages the details & embraces the big picture, loves the event, finds their way to ‘yes’, follows through with pride, asks ‘the question’ & upholds a One Team, One Dream work culture. Here, events are defined as any occasion the facilities have been rented/donated or offsite services have been requested by a client. Primary Responsibilities: ? Recruiting, Hiring, Onboarding,Training & Managing - Administer all phases of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of qualified FOH employment candidates. Accomplish the objectives of hiring, training, retaining and developing Team Members to take on larger roles. Coaching, counseling, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions are aspects of the role. Communicating job expectations through policy & procedure enforcement and managing disciplinary actions are also within the scope of this role. ? Employment & Payroll Records - Communicating job expectations through proper documentation & managing the process of securing mandatory employment paperwork for all new hires. Ensure current team members' files are accurately completed, communicate additional needs and archive old files. ? Tracking & Reporting Money Handling Transactions - Daily monitoring & management of the FOH & Bar Checklists and Nightly Log data to ensure all event details and financial reportings are accurate and accounted for. Manage weekly Tip Share Allocation and its weekly reporting processes. ? Schedule Enforcement - Ensure all FOH team members are arriving for their shifts as scheduled and successfully clocking in & out. Review FOH staffing for events and ensure the assignments are in line with the event’s requirements as well as the Scheduling Matrix. Advise on FOH staffing needs (Facility Maintenance Schedule, increased or decreased event size, etc.) when applicable. On call for all FOH shifts and positions that require emergency coverage. ? Meetings & Information Dissemination - Conduct & participate in Leadership meetings to evaluate event details to ensure they are understood, pre-planned and can be executed to our level of brand standards. Demonstrate strong communication and reporting procedures to guide exceptional service implementation. Develop innovative solutions for unique client needs. Manage all applicable Scorecard metrics. Hold team members accountable to operational and quality standards. Foster clear, open communication between Leadership & team members. ? Internal & External Client Interfacing - Lead with a passion for hospitality and an open mind. Overall management of FOH team members and their accountabilities. Drive guest engagement while developing authentic relationships within the community. Ensure a flawless guest experience from start to finish. High level interactions with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds. ? Company Brand Standards & Policies - Uphold and manage to all stated brand standards, company policies & established best practices of event execution. Identify the root cause of any operational issues, inclusive of being self-reflective, holding yourself and team members accountable, showing vulnerability and demonstrating transparency in all actions. Influence team member behaviors by championing the brand standards. Understand, practice & manage safe food & beverage handling procedures. ? FOH Interior & Exterior Aesthetics - Manage & maintain the interior & exterior aesthetic brand standards. Report problematic or unusual occurrences - seek resolutions in a swift manner. Report on daily, weekly, monthly requirements needed. Manage the actionable items. ? FOH Facility Maintenance Schedules - Manage & maintain the Facility Maintenance Schedule. Safety & Sanitation Programs - Administer all phases of FOH & Beverage Safety training & testing. Maintain an active certification in all Health Department mandated food & beverage programs. Captain Events - As the schedule dictates, Captain shifts will be scheduled at any point between Monday-Sunday, AM-PM, and on call in emergency situations. Requirements: ? High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree or higher preferred ? 2+ years of full-time experience in a similar management role required ? Self motivated professional with excellent time management and organizational skills ? Proficient in recruiting, hiring, onboarding & training that supports the company’s values to uphold a supportive, positive work culture ? Proficient in record keeping, managing files, money handling, tracking & reporting ? Proficient in all company required technology, scheduling, tracking & reporting ? Proficient at leading meetings with excellent written & verbal communication skills ? Creative solution seeker who quickly resolve conflicts and removes operational barriers ? Manage all front of house team members food & beverage safety certifications ? Ability to stand on your feet for 8+ hours continuously with a high level of stamina ? Ability to lift at least 50 lbs ? Flexibility of scheduled hours: required to work days, nights and/or weekends with on call availability in emergency situations
